What is Mean By VXD-2 Line Filter?

The Vortex Filter is designed to remove all water molecules present in the liquid state. It is referred to as "Dry Air" as long as the water is not in its liquid form. The Vortex Filter not only removes water but also evaporates it, ensuring that the resulting air is completely free of liquid water, or in other words, dry air. This process does not affect the dew point. Any subsequent cooling after the Vortex Filter will lead to the formation of condensation. Therefore, these dryers are best suited for applications near the point of use machines (such as those with a distance less than 4 meters).

How it Works:

In the initial phase, the process of coalescence occurs as moist and contaminated air is forced to rotate and swirl through a complex filter constructed with stainless steel wire. The moisture in the air turns into droplets due to centrifugal force. These droplets, along with other impurities, move down the wire and into the filter cartridge, where they eventually reach a honeycomb structure. Here, water is drained out.

In the subsequent phase, the air passes through a filter made of loosely woven elements composed of highly absorbent long staple cotton, supported by stainless steel wires for structural reinforcement. As the air flows through these elements, it is disrupted into small whirls known as Micro Vortices. This process, called Vortex Shedding, results in the formation of small vacuums where water particles are captured. These particles then break down and evaporate.

Oil droplets merge in the initial phase, while the second phase's elements absorb oil vapors, successfully eliminating 99% of the oil content. The filtration system achieves a 100% efficiency for particles of 5 microns in size and 50% for particles of 1 micron in size.
