Sumved international is well established distributors, supplier & exporters of Compressed air system is required in many industries but for it to perform its functions, the air used has to be clean of any contaminants. Compressed air filters are vital for the improvement of those systems because inline compressed air filters help you to ensure proper operational conditions of your equipment. In this article we will take a look at what inline compressed air filters are, how they function and why they are such an important element in maintaining the health of a compressed air system.

What Are Inline Compressed Air Filters?

Inline compressed air filters are fittings that go right into the compressed air supply line of the compressed air distribution networks. They main function is to filter out impurities, moisture, oil and other contaminants from the air before it gets into the system. These filters are commonly fitted between the compressor and the equipment that it serves to provide only non-contaminated and freed of wetness air to delicate mechanisms.

Features:

  • Accurate Information: Patented dual indicator shows differential pressure drop and operating efficiency
  • Rugged Design: All-aluminum, precision die cast body suitable for 176 °F / 80 °C and 250 psig / 17.2 bar MAWP applications
  • Reliable Operation: Filter element with stainless steel mesh withstands high pressure and minimizes flow restriction
  • Easy Maintenance: Ergonomic bowl design with no-touch filter simplifies element replacement
  • Lone Element Life: Proprietary media coating technology protects against corrosion and increases element life

How Do Inline Compressed Air Filters Work?

Inline air filters operate through a series of filtration stages, each designed to capture specific types of contaminants:

  • Pre-Filter Stage: The first stage is usually a coalescing element which can remove relatively large contaminants like dust, dirt, and debris, which may be introduced in the compressed air.
  • Coalescing Stage: This stage is for the production of fine particle removal and, with the help of oil aerosol and water vapour trapping, high dust capture. The accumulating filter media leads to small water droplets or oil particles to join form a large one that is separated by the air flow.
  • Fine Filtration Stage: The last stage involves the use of even smaller mesh size in the filter media to trap the remaining particles that may be bacteria, dust or even tiny droplets of oil. This way, there is guarantee that the compressed air is as clean as it can be.

Why Are Inline Compressed Air Filters Important?

To prevent contamination Equipment that operates pneumatically uses compressed air and this air must be clean for the equipment to last, operate effectively, and safely. They could dirt, dust and moisture affect more part of the valves, cylinder or other accessory and you will spend a lot money to replace it. Inline affordable supply air filter will protect your equipment from supply air harmful particulate matter.

Lessens Contamination Some of these particulates may clog different moving parts or block airflow tools thus reducing its efficiency. Having inline compressed air filters also ensures you that the supplied air is of proper grade optimum for usage, this again improves the operational performance.

Reducing overhead costs Contaminated air from dirt, oil, and moisture can cause premature equipment failure resulting in unexpected and costly repairs or replacement. Inline filters are helpful to solve these issues such as - not to allow contaminant entering the system and so avoiding frequent replacement cost.

Fulfillment of Air Quality Regulation In some sectors, air quality is governed by rigorous guidelines. For example, clean air without contaminants is of great importance in food processing and drug production. One of the simple ways to help the business meet this regulatory air quality standard is by using inline compressed air filters.

Cleaning them more often — clogged inline compressed air filters can improve your system lifespan and gears protection from damaging contaminants. By keeping the air so clean all of the time, we would expect component life in the system to be extended; first major operational expense.

Integrating Evolution refrigerated air dryer with air filter provides you clean air by removing suspended particles down to 0.01* including coalesced liquid water and oil.

Grade G (prefilter)

  • General Purpose Protection
  • Particle removal down to 1 micron including coalesced liquid water and oil, providing a maximum remaining oil aerosol content of 0.5mg /m3

Grade H (Afterfilter)

  • High Efficiency Oil Removal Filtration
  • Particle removal down to 0.01 micron including water and oil aerosols, providing a maximum remaining oil aerosol content of 0.01mg/m3
